I am often amazed / befuddled by the 'road' to 'land use' ratio. The  
ratio increases the more urban the setting becomes. There can be more  
real estate devoted to the road than what it leads to. It's almost  
like the buildings are just an excuse for some place to go to, so  
that we can get into our cars and drive.
