It runs on 1AA, and constant light Sport Flare runs on 2AA. Both are rated at IPX8 immersion level, which is same or better as marine handheld VHF. Btw, next one the store list (sthe stick called PFD Safety Light) looks exactly like my ACR with Fresnel lens. Sometimes this stick comes with a suction cup (so the stick foes into the cup, and cup is attached to the deck, annoying the paddler). >The trouble is where to find a continuous light that is as robust as a >strobe built for emergency use? Be interesting to check out the unit Doug' >has bought, maybe its the answer? Princeton is a good brand.
