G'Day Mark,

The phrase "...and all" mean't just that. I'll accept scientific rigour whereever I find it. Just wish I could find a rigorous refutation of the IPCC work; haven't yet but live in hope.

I've sent a more detailed response outside of the Paddlewise list, my view being that its a fair call to discuss what you can do about reducing kayaking's carbon footprint on the list. But the theories of climate change are slightly off topic. I'm keen to discuss those theories privately and even to set up an informal discussion group, but not on Paddlewise, unless everyone else really wants to.

Meanwhile on a totally different subject - hows this for an event in one of my regular paddling spots: http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/story/0,22049,24848858-5001021,00.html

All the best, PeterO
