If you don't get responses in that area I'll be stunned. I was stranded in Newport CA (Newport looks to be about 10 miles from laguna hills) in september 2000. I managed to paddle every day. Once from the newport aquatic center, once from a rental shop on newport beach (they had surf ski's in their rental fleet). I even had the pleasure of a local paddlewise participant who joined me for one weekday. It made for a great week.
