G'Day Chuck and All Freya would have missed the oil spill, which was just off Brisbane and caused by the cyclone washing a freight container off a ship and then colliding with it. Areas affected worst are Moreton and Bribie islands just off Brisbane and parts of the sunshine coast. Freya is well north of these now. Shes truly entering the wilds of Australia. It may not be the toughest water but the coast has its own unique challenges. The cyclone coincided with some much needed recuperation for sores on her back - so shes had a few days not paddling but is back on the water. Freya has been making great progress and is looking very good to succeed. Debate currently rages on her web page over the semantics of "attempting" vs "doing" the circumnavigation. No need to guess Freya's position!
