My own mail box, at mail.com is very easy to filter, and generally, very few spam appear anyway (that I'm aware of anyway). I simply sort my mail like this: those containing 'Tord' in their subject line (go to the inbox), then those, which comes from _at_yahoogroups, and so on, while the rest ends up in the trash can, which I check quite often - say two-three spams in a week, plus a few mislaid mails without the 'Tord'. As soon as I get a spam I report it to mail.com and I am never bothered again by that sender. Maybe something similar could be done at Paddlewise, say that the subject line need to contain the word 'paddle' or 'Paddle' to be accepted, no other sorting rules used - except banning any instance of spam?! My group Bagboater (for us folding boaters) at Yahoogroups use a simple rule: first mail from a new member (only members may post) is monitored, if OK no more monitoring is applied - simple and effective. As yet I have not had to regret this, surprisingly! One or two that starts to bounce (usually after having changed email address) are simply deleted, after informing them, with an email that usually bounces, too! If any newbies prove to be spammers, they're deleted from the member list and banned! Should work for Paddlewise, too - it is as simple as that! Tord -- It's News. It's Reviews. It's Interviews. It's Free.
