About five years ago I was in Elk Lake with some club members and decided to
see how many consecutive rolls I could do. I was paddling a Pygmy Arctic
Tern and after coming up for the 13th time felt, like I was drinking Mescal
back in Juarez Mexico. On that occasion I woke up in the desert with my
feet on the floor of a Ford Falcon, the door was wide open and my upper
body was hanging out, my face was in the dust and dirt. There was no one in
the drivers seat. The keys where in the ignition so I drove back to where I
thought Juarez should be, eventually found my own car and left Mexico never
to return for 30 years.

Sorry I digressed there a little, but there was a point, fearing I might be
on the verge of a similar experience, I retired from the lake and went
directly to a pub where I confirmed my fears.
