The M-II is the fastest boat I've ever paddled... it does 3kts with zero effort and 4kts with only a little more. I have not had much of a chance to take mine to salt water though. Since I am lazy at heart I like paddling with others and only having to take half the strokes to go the same speed. Of course this might not work for you guys. :P I'll have to ask Matt what his opinions of a GP are. He's off on a family exploration trip but due home pretty soon. I know that his opinion of paddles is pretty close to mine (I loved my lightning graphite paddle and still mourn its loss). Maybe he'll read this and bless us with a few words. :) Next weekend (for me) will be on the muthah-ship which, after installing the new priming fuel pump and the transom bracket for the 9.9hp 4-stroke Mercury, will be off to the San Juans for a couple of days.
