Let me throw this up on the beach only because we have been slow lately.

In more interesting news I took a two day whitewater course  through  
CHOTA.

My class ran portions of the challenging Nantahalla river and very  
challenging Ocoee river here in the USA. We had superb instructors  
coupled with talented and brave classmates. We embraced  what was  
thrown at us and absorbed the stream of constructive criticism given  
by our friendly overlords.

My son came with me and took a basic whitewater course on the  
Hiawassee. He seemed to really like it. His typical teenage attitude  
was temporarily erased and replaced with a wonderfully adult and  
outgoing attitude. Nothing like a weekend of personal growth to max  
out ourselves.
