G'day Doug', You asked a week or two ago about the hole in Freya's kayak. I've asked a couple of friends and followed the thread maintained by Chris Cunningham and Freya. It seems I was overly optimistic and the real problem is that the kayak is carbon fibre and therefore it's very difficult to repair the hole adequately with access to just handyman materials. A patch of plumbing tape might make a more reliable albeit ugly repair. S omeone on Paddlewise described this a few years ago and sent me a few patches. They looked as if they would adhere to just about any surface. Good to see that despite all this Freya is not slowing down and, although her attitude is apparently light hearted, she is taking very sensible precautions while in croc country. All the best, PeterO *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
