He has eliminated the kayak and paddle entirely, and simply glides through the water using his flipper-like hands. He employees the dolphin kick when needed, and has no rudder or skeg. The only living person who might be able to match him stroke for stroke is Doug Lloyd. Oh, there's also Ian Thorpe, the human torpedo.
