Drive down to the Indian River Inlet. Nice surfing on the northern outside of the inlet (for east coast waves). Good playing in the tidal currents and waves. Launch from either carrying over from the beach north of the bridge or use the marina on the nw quadrant. Post on www.cpakayaker.com forums - that's the local sea kayaking club there.
