I can finally ad this to my resume: Catching a salmon from a kayak. I was only able to land one but hooked into four. One of them jumped about 3 ft. into the air, and when you are sitting in a kayak (take my word for it) it is thrilling because the fish is jumping higher than your head! I was catching pink salmon and they tend to go around the boat in a circle. I could not get my line around the bow of the kayak so I would sometimes have all but about a foot of the rod down in the water. I went down to try my luck again today, but it was the first day of Indian fishing, so nets were stretched everywhere.
