Jackie Fenton Myers posted this link on Facebook and I thought they were
appropriate to post here. The LA area is home to numerous Paddlewisers and
while lots of us face little threat of wildfires, many of us in the western
USA do. These are awesome photos.

Actually, Bob sent them to me. He also sent me these.....

There are also a series of time-lapse videos on YouTube taken from
various locations of the fires. Fascinating to watch (unlike real-time
and being right there)

Those folks that trudge into those hell fires to do battle with some
monstrous, 40' plus flames and extremely rough terrain, get more
respect from me than I can describe. What they have accomplished in the
last week is nothing short of amazing. Sadly, two fire fighters lost
their lives in the blaze.

We heard there were fires around Moses Lake, Craig. Hope all is well. Looks
like rain is back now.

and a huge warehouse full of hay caught fire and was pretty impressive. We
are surrounded by irrigated fields so we feel pretty safe. Thanks for
asking. :)
