I probably didn't explicate that (as they'd say in Canadian) as well as I
should have. What I'd like to see for paddlers in narrows is a way to
explain how the current speed ramps up and stays up during the tidal cycle.
I think a lot of people expect to find a nice comfortable period of 2 and 3
kts in a current cycle with a max of 7kts and that is just not gonna happen.

I always plan on the maximum current very soon after slack. I'm almost never
disappointed.

But it is interesting that no one knows if anyone has studied this. I
figured you'd know for sure. :P
