Hi paddlewise_at_paddlewise.com, I set up a Facebook profile where I can post my pictures, videos and events and I want to add you as a friend so you can see it. First, you need to join Facebook! Once you join, you can also create your own profile. I would like to see the photos, but not at the expense of doing the Facebook thing. I did get a private email as well as the public announcement here on the mail list. Was that intentional, or a spin-off of the Facebook page? (Not really important, but I'm always curious about these things...) -- Darryl *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s). If I remember correctly, employers can check up on you via Facebook, and perhaps other security risks can arise, as Darryl suggests. In fact, a fugative hiding out in Mexico was recently tracked down using Facebook and returned to the States. Craig, I hope you don't get caught. It's all part of my ultimate retirement plan. I expect to be put into one of those cushy Federal prisons where I can relax with three hots and a cot and I don't have to worry about setting my hearing aid to "off" when my wife is around. :P Craig On Sun, Oct 18, 2009 at 12:56 PM, Bradford R. The message to your personal account would have been sent (entered from FB) separately. I groan anytime someone enters my private email address into a website to forward "whatever" because my guess is that it's a means for the website to collect email addresses. (sigh) Jackie p.s. I have a FB account and it's not that difficult to minimize security risk to extreme low. *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s). The caveat in the above is how much information your "friends" provide FB about you that you yourself did not provide to FB.
