Kayak fishing is certainly the hottest part of kayaking right now; getting lots of publicity. I'm not sure I'd want to fight a 180-lb tuna from a kayak but I would like to try smaller prey. A few of the BC paddlers go out and fish in the kelp beds or on the reefs after they make camp to get something for dinner and breakfast. I did get some downriggers for the muthah-ship and we have a nice depth sounder aboard.... and the 10hp Merc 4-stroke outboard will troll all day long on 2 gallons of gas. Did I mention the heater? :) Craig Jungers Moses Lake, WA www.nwkayaking.net On Mon, Nov 23, 2009 at 9:48 AM, James Farrelly <JFARRELLY5_at_comcast.net>wrote: > http://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/23/sports/23fishing.html?_r=2&th&emc=th *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
