Been home 13 days with the H1N1 Swine flue. Did make it out for a drive last Wednesday to chase the storm along the shore. That was no substitute for paddling. I posted some pictures to the blog (VictoriaKayaker) that night by which time it was blowing about a Force 10 Storm. I was think of Doug that entire evening. Then tonight I saw his post and clicked on the link. To bad the state of journalism is so bankrupt these days. Here we have a ferry that is alleged to be less then adequate for the route it's on. Instead of validating the question the CBC goes to a political hack and gives him a platform to mouth off on. Of course the Government and BC ferries will say all is well and of course the NDP opposition will say all is not well. Who's served by that story. Wouldn't it be nice to hear from a marine architect or someone in the shipping industry who might be able to answer the questions about the suitability of the ferry for Hecate Strait. I lament the state of journalism these days.
