Woke up this morning and looked outside and I saw...... ICE!!! Yikes!!!
Well it was bound to happen. The lake freezes over every year some time in
November and doesn't thaw until some time in March. But I keep hoping that
it will hold off 'til December and thaw out in February. The freeze window
is getting smaller but it's not getting smaller fast enough. We need more
coal plants... and we need 'em quick!!!

Pics at http://www.nwkayaking.net if seeing ducks and geese and seagulls
walking around on the ice sounds like fun to you. As for me, I'm headed to
s. cal in a month.

Sounds like what Moses Lake needs is a nuclear-powered icebreaker.
Perhaps the Russians have one sitting idle somewhere. As for me, I'll
be crawling into my goose-down jacket soon and won't be coming out
until about April 2010.
