Corpus Christi is known for its heavy winds. I moved here from Chicago (the windy city) and Corpus Christi is much windier. So if you paddle every day, you get up early and do lots of sunrise paddles before the wind builds. Yesterday morning they forecast 15 to 25 mph winds, but from 8am to 10am the bay was like glass.
