LOL As far as spreading goes, they are rampant in Moses Lake which is an impoundment of water from the Columbia River with draining into the Columbia just south of Vantage, WA. So they are in the Columbia River system whcih means they have access to tributaries in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and (if they are above the Grand Coulee Dam) British Columbia. The carp here don't jump that high... they just make it a foot or so. However they congregate in clusters right at the surface; often with a fin sticking up swimming along slowly. The unwary paddler has no risk of them jumping into our boats but they can sure make you jump when you surprise them and they all move away fast. Seriously, eating them is the only option.
