I would like to make a norsaq but I don't want to go through the hassle of
getting a license. I wonder how Duane avoided the licensing with his
harpoon. :D

Craig,

Speaking of the harpoon. As I paddled back to shore after practicing with the harpoon on Monday, a California Dept. of Fish and Game truck was there. The two wardens inside the truck seemed like they were checking me out. But they soon drove off. I don't know if it was a coincidence that they were there or if someone got carried away and reported a kayaker hunting with a harpoon. Someday I expect to be questioned by the authorities and have my explanation ready.

Ok... so you *do* need a license. :P

Craig

PS: You have the beginnings of a great story there.

Probably nothing in the Calif. F&G Act that covers harpoons!
