http://www.westcoastpaddler.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=3610 DL There is nothing on their web page (wcsks.org) and it's not been easy to get information but Chris Cunningham of Sea Kayaker Magazine emailed me to say that the event for 2010 has been canceled. Other sources say that the sponsoring organization is out of money and might be interested in selling their rights to the event but that could just be a rumor. Hate to see this even go down as it's been a regular thing for me and a lot of friends for a long time. Pam and I are tentatively planning to have a Port Townsend camping/kayaking event in September which will just be exploring more of the area by kayak than we had time to do before. If anyone is interested in being there at the same time that would be cool. The kayaking from Port Townsend is excellent and includes protected waters and lakes as well as open areas (including some nice bull kelp gardens) around the point. I think I'll be going to the Greenland symposium this summer... if I can remember how to find it.
