IIRC, Nick Shade has always said something to the effect, "Remember, its just
a boat. Use it." I would agree. Better to wear it out than let it collect
dust.

If I did that here on my lake it *would* be exactly like hitting pavement.
The ice is thick enough to drive a pickup out onto right now. :D
