Just got word via University of Sea Kayaking that Derek Hutchinson has been diagnosed with esophageal cancer but it was caught early and there is a good prognosis. If you have facebook add USK and you can post any notes to Derek on their wall for transmission to him. Otherwise, good thoughts are appreciated and (one presumes) prayers as well.
