I believe it. I didn't do as much sea kayaking last year as I did whitewater because everytime I checked conditions for the coast it read, * West swell 9-12 feet, wind West to 25 knots, gusts to 35 knots, wind waves 3-5 feet.* Thanks, but I'll find something else to do.
