Weather has been up and down here on Gulf Coast Texas.  I'm in the
process of moving to the island (Galveston);  pleased to note that if
the wind is from the right direction, and there is actual surf on the
Gulf of Mexico, I can hear it from my new house.  This moving stuff is
making a serious dent on time and $ for kayaking, but not so much I
couldn't take a Coastal Kayaking class with Karen Knight a week ago.  Of
course it was superb.  And, sans wet- or dry-suit, I easily survived
several rescue drills including full body immersion.  Ah, the winter
paddling in Texas!
