The silent movie, Nanook of the North, is on TCM as I type this. Shots of kayaks, umiaks, and life of the First Nations peoples of northern Canada. If you have never seen it, and you like to kayak, it's worth a look. That is a great movie. It showed on our local ETV station back when I was in high school. I remember watching it while getting ready for a to go out. I think I was late for my date. The scene with the harpooned seal was hilarious to me. Probably wouldn't seem quite as funny now.
