Update on my kayaking dog: By now, Kira is comfortable enough to move around on my kayak. She lies, sits, stands and walks on the deck, just needing a little help to pass me on her way from front to back or vise versa. She only falls in when trying to jump to other boats; she's been a passenger of at least 4 kayaks tonight. Only when soaking wet does she prefer the cockpit and my warm lap. She even _likes_ kayaking: She's highly interested in everything we pass, in the water and on shore. She's becoming the ideal kayaking companion. I can't wait to show her my favorite places. The warm weather's holding out in the Netherlands, and Kira's PFD should arrive in two days...
