G'day, For the same reason I guess it would make a mess of getting off the beach, through multiple lines of surf coming in sufficiently rapid sets that stopping and timing runs isn't an option. If rapid acceleration with a long GP or Euro paddle isn't possible, then sooner or later getting off the beach is going to be a real hassle. I think that's one of the more important occasions in sea kayaking where explosive force is required no matter what. I wonder how the Greenlander people coped with this? Chuck is it possible to use a long GP to get through multiple lines of surf?
