Dear Joe and all,
Those kayaks are from Labrador/Hudson straits.  Despite the caption, the paddles are made of wood, though they might have bone edging.  Likewise the kayak frames would be wood, and not bone.

Sorry for the blank post earlier.... Travelling and using my wife's iPad for the first time...
