in re. flashlights, my wife and I both have one of these on our keyring for light you didn't expect to need. The high output lights up the whole front yard and the street and lasts 1.8 hours. Low lasts about a week of continual use. This is the shortest one using 2 cr2 batteries (included). All are waterproof pretty deep, and produce phenomenal lighting, not cheap but when you _need_ light you need it.
