Duane sent this video link out to our club to get us in the mood for
Christmas. We'll be doing the same this year. Craig joined us last year,
but I know you northern paddlers prefer paddling in the white stuff!
Kayaking has added some interesting traditions to my holidays!

Kayakers,

I had such a great time with friends last Christmas Eve Morning at San
Onofre, I took the day off again for this year. I plan to arrived before
7am and hope to see you there. Just remember that traditionally at this
event, going commando under the tuilik is optional. Fiberglass repairs
on your kayak may be necessary afterward too.

Here is a link to a video of last year's San Onofre Christmas Eve
Morning. Barbara's song at the end almost makes me cry everytime I watch:

I hope to see you there.

Duane

I strongly encourage anyone who can make it to San Onofre the morning of the
24th of December do so. Sue and I can't this year but we had a blast last
year. There is decent camping at Doheny Beach in Dana Point not too far
north (I think it was $35 a day with no hookups... take your solar panels;
bathrooms were close and clean).

My plans are to head south with two mountain bikes (one full-squish 26er and
one 29er hardtail) and do some trail riding this year some time in January.
