Hello,
I am unable to send the message below to the nyckayaker and paddlewise nets
- perhaps you could send the message on. Thanks

There was an article in the December 2010 issue of Sea Kayaker on the
history of sea kayaking.
In Britain, that history goes back to the 1860s when the English Channel was
paddled and sailed, and from that time on sea kayaking has been a feature of
canoe sport. A short history has been written by Oliver Cock for the
British Canoe Union, and this can be downloaded from the Net - dont ask me
the address, but I could look it up. Dont forget when dealing with
Stateside canoeing, the ACA meets at various coastal locations which were
attended, from time to time, by British participants - most of this was
canoe sailing, but if one is talking of canoeing history, then one cannot
ignore such participation.
Will add more if you wish
Tony
