Doug Lloyd wrote >I have all Paul's books and they will go to the grave >with me as part of my cherished possessions. You can say >what you want about Paul, but he was the man in his day >and trails blazed hitherto are in his wake... G'day, Well said Doug, Paul's 'The DreamTime Voyage' has become something of a pilot book for kayakers paddling the remote Australian coast. A reprint could mean no longer needing to lend my copy to local expeditioners. Can't complain though as they tell wonderfully eloquent accounts of their travels, though not often with the detail that Paul achieved. Something I've been doing recently is reading these kind of accounts into voice recordings for my vision impaired mother in law who is fascinated by adventures of all sorts but kayaking in particular. It always puzzles me that people are so taken with written stories and miss the magic of a story read aloud! Just think what a great radio serial Dark Side of the Wave or 'The Dreamtime Voyage' would make!
