I'm catching a plane out to British Columbia in a couple of days, and will be emailless for the two weeks that I'll be out there. So I thought I should take this opportunity before I go to thank everyone who has responded to my request for suggestions for the new kayak that I hope to find. I was touched by Pam's offer to borrow her Mariner for a paddle if I could make my way down near her. She doesn't know me from Adam (although my name isn't Adam), and for all she knows, I could be an axe murderer. I could say that I am not an axe murderer, but then, what else would I say? Sadly, I will not have time to visit her (and my passport expired a while ago and I've been procrastinating its replacement), so I couldn't visit in any case. Several people responded with suggestions, all of which are appreciated. I have added several boats to my list of prospective boats as a result of input from Paddlewise members. Again, thanks to the kayaking community here for sharing your knowledge and opinions. All the best to all, -- Darryl (not an axe murderer, really!) *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s). Yeah, I was a bit surprised to live through my visit from Craig!!! But really, I count myself lucky to have paddle with at least 4 "strangers" from Paddlewise and none have yet turned out to be confirmed axe murderers! Perhaps the 5th will be the charm!
