Living just south of Robert, but on another continent, this
will be New Year's Greetings from the cold and windy North
(we have about 30 knot winds just now)!

Now for something completely different!:

Many of you have struggled with tripods, to get them level!
It isn't that easy - seems our brain isn't made for getting
tripods level - four legs seems so much easier!

There are of course no four-legged B tripods: But don't you
worry, because I think I just found the ideal tripod & head
combination: From the US you get a Wimberley WH-200
panorama head, the best of them all, and from Germany
you buy the nicest tripod there is, a Berlebach Reporter 3032.
It is oldfashioned, made mainly of ash, but it has a ball head,
of sorts, built-in, so you you set it easily level (it has a
libelle to aid you), and then you add your own panorama/video head.
Couldn't be simpler! And while the Berlebach is slightly heavier
than a modern carbon tripod, being mainly made out of ash (the tree),
it is very much cheaper.

You buy these tripods on the internet:

I bought my Wimberley from B&H:

Any other kind of video head works, of course!

One would think I'd gain anything for promoting these, but I don't - I just like 'em!
