Just returned from a 1 week trip to Mexico to see Rafaelbs new home in Queretaro and his new kayakerbs Bed & Breakfast near Veracruz Mexico. Had great weather, fantastic variety of kayaking, and some spectacular sightseeing. It is not often you get to see cathedrals that date back to 1697 reflecting all the grandure you would expect from those in Europe, or get to kayak in and around old ruins that probably date back before that. Paddled some beautiful lakes and Gulf coast beaches ranging from totally remote to downtown Veracruz. Round trip flight to Mexico City from San Antonio on Interjet was $370 and took less than 2 hours. If you are looking for a warm winter kayaking experience, majestic mountains, great food and unique sightseeing, you can see pictures of the trip at https://picasaweb.google.com/104857685363900679676/MayanSeasKayakerSBedBreakf astInMexico# and at my website at http://community.webshots.com/user/johnsonkw1 *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
