I've been looking through older threads for info on shoulders, etc. I've been paying attention to these current discussions. My wife speaks very highly of myofacial release massage therapy for a lot of soft tissue ailments (in addition to trigger points). Tightness in the facial membrane around the muscle structure in one area can have a big effect on mobility/pain/etc. somewhere else. It may be another tool in the toolbox worth checking out.
