Pamela, Went down a narrow, long surge channel a few years ago with dumping surf on the tiny pocket beach. Seas were big and I was having a hard time finding a place to conveniently and safely land; our group elected me as the younger probe unit. The shredded kelp and seaweed was amassed in copious quantities at the termination of the channel where it churned in a blender that looked like something a health nut makes in the early morning (less the salt!). I landed, pulled back out between sets, and returned to open water absolutely covered head to hull in slime and weed..."uh, no Doug, doesn't look like a suitable landing" but hey, it was well padded! DL Seems like an odd way to collect sea weed! Pam in WA State In a message dated 2/24/2012 10:15:21 P.M.
