It was a beautiful weekend for paddling in Texas, and I was able to enjoy another warm and wonderful swamp paddle with my friends in the Houston Canoe Club. Ya can't complain about blue skies, temperatures near 70, and the first flush of spring green coming on. Time to grab a boat and a paddle and head for Champion Lake in the Trinity River National Wildlife Refuge. Life is good - some vicarious paddling enjoyment for those of you still awaiting a spring thaw.
