No, I am going to paddle it stock for a few months. The store gave me 6
months free dockside rental and the staff will help me get the boat in the
water while my back heals. And then yes, heck, that Nordy gets heavier.
Fortified inside seams, an extra layer of glass under the seat and broadened
forward and aft, custom bulkheads, reinforced inside seams, new outside seam
and nose and stern integrated capping in carbon tape in black then
integrating seamlessly with a full keel strip, carbon layer over coaming to
match, front day hatch and thigh pod, wrap around bulkhead behind the seat
in carbon, electric pump super-sano situated, reflective deck lines, and
maybe a custom rudder sleeve that bolts on and off the stern with custom
carbon rudder, and sits in place like Paul Caffyn's rudder; no chopping off
the stern this time. Then look out ocean, cause I'm back! Okay, yes, it will
be choppy out there...

Hi Doug,

A new Nordy, and what's the first thing you do? Start chopping it up: well
done that man, don't they just beg to be modified.

Pleased that you're getting back into paddling, I'm looking forward to
hearing more stories. I also hope that we can meet up when I'm over your way
next year.

Cheers

JKA
