Pardon my ignorance. How would I determine when slack tide is between Orcas and Sucia? I've been tossed pretty thoroughly making that crossing. It was fun the first 5 or 6 times, but I'm getting old... Dullard that I am, I never really tracked where I was in the cycle. The speed of flow was never an issue; just the mixing. Expanses of violent chop. There's a dull roar to it at it's best. NOAA has current table for Parker Reef which is between Sucia and Orcas so you can look that up on line.
