I have a Yakima rack bolted to a fiberglass Leer canopy clamped to a Nissan pickup truck. The tie-down straps are nylon webbing, and the front/rear ropes are worthy of mountain climbing. I generally drive 55-65 mph on the highway, and also have comprehensive automobile insurance. Am I immune to disaster? Heck no. I even had a dream where I was driving my truck along the top of a dike and lost control. Thank goodness I woke up.
