I note you are still in AK. I thought you were planning to go South when your son went to college..... Anyhow, good to see you are still active.
I had my third operation on my hip in October and things are slowly, very slowly returning to normal, alathough to date I havent been in a kayak for four years now - cannot bend my body sufficiently to get into a British kayak. Nevertheless, enjoying the warmth of summer and even walked 20km to the top of the local mountain (1142m) on Tuesday.
I do hope your kayaing is going well with plenty of tours planned for this summer

The conditions for the race have been unexpectedly tough Lots of wind and the contestants are dropping out like flies. One even had to call the Coast Guard for help.
