One of our merry band posted a link to a website advocating the use of seaborne heat-seeking missiles to deal with Pestilent Water Craft. A good idea in principle, but the weapon indicated weighted nearly 200 lbs. To carry that, I'd have to forsake nearly three days worth of beer and wine! I think the proper solution is one of those person-portable, shoulder-launched single-use anti-aircraft units. They're about the same size as the self-contained parachute flares, and like the flares, could be vacuum bagged until needed (being sure to notch the bag edge for easy opening, as Chuck suggests). Do be careful not to mix up the missile and the flare however. It's an embarrassing faux pas to shoot down a SAR helicopter that's coming to your aid.
