A good friend of mine introduced his son to canoeing at two years of age. That was six years ago. Brandon is now a kayaker/backpacker/hiker... you name it, with lots of neat stories to tell. already :-) He and his dad used a sit-on-top kayak which gave them both plenty of room until Brandon could get into his own boat. The sit-on-top also made it easier for them to surf in small surf on the coast. Whatever you plan, plan that the 2 year old will grow fast :-) Cheers, Jackie _ _ _ _ _ \\ / \0/ \ / \0/ \ \\ " " `\ ,sSSs,\, )\w/( ,sSS..)/{) <<..> sSSS_v)/ \ )<*> sSS[(\_]___\ <(_/_o_o_ 'sS[_`-+---+) \----+-------+-------'---`-----\-------------') ~~~~~~~ ~~jf ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ ~~~~\~ ~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ o \ o \\ o o \\ o o ` (\ o o >jf:-) o (/ o *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net ***************************************************************************Received on Fri Feb 20 1998 - 11:29:16 PST
