[Paddlewise] paddles

my favorite is my "bending branches" 14o bent shaft canoe paddle, followed
closely by my _old_ bob foote wooden paddle [made by sawyer]. both are
fairly light, and well balanced, and WOOD ;-) i love the feel of a wooden
canoe paddle...

these are followed by my kevlar bob foote paddle, stiff, no personality
whatsoever!! light and fairly hard to abuse.

for my sea kayaks, i don't have a lot of experience with good paddles. my
favorite has to be the paddle my dad through in when i bought his sea
kayak, an aquaterra whisper. decent [i think!!] wooden paddle, very light
compared to many other paddles i've lifted. a bit of flex for someone my
weight [86Kg], but decent in comparison to good canoe paddles. the other
two kayak paddles i have are plastic & aluminum clubs, ll bean, which i
believe is a mohawk, and an aquaterra passage, which is lighter and nicer
then the ll bean ;-)  but heavy. this is [for now, until i learn what i
want] my river paddle. the whisper cracked on a know last year, and i'm
not sure how to go about fixing it, suggestions?? offline or on. if i get
enough, i'll post a synopsis.
