An inflated suit makes reentry into the kayak more difficult because you tend to float horizontally on the water like a beach toy. In a worst case scenario, assuming you weren't wearing your PFD, the air could conceivably accumulate in your feet and legs and float you upside down, though I have not heard of this happening. My wife and I typically wade into the water in our suits, squat till the water is nearly to our necks, and then "burp" the suits by releasing air from the neck gaskets.
