This is my first post to this list, so I guess I'll say hi and introduce myself really quickly. My name's John, I'm seventeen and I live in the southern part of New Zealand. My paddling interests mainly lie with whitewater (entry level), though i've some plans for some extended river trips. I paddle a Pirouette Sport which is mainly what this message is about. It's one of the first line of production boats, so it hasn't got the back deck scoop of the later models. This means pulling whoopies is pretty difficult, so I've got a grand plan to re-mould the back deck with boiling water and industrial strength blow-dryers. This is pretty drastic so another idea is to build myself a playboat out of fibreglass or preferably kevlar. I've seen this done with canadian-style canoes - the technique just needs to be adapted for ww boats. Any ideas/comments/criticisms on this would really appreciated, john from nz.
